Can the EJB14070 replace an EDB14070 or EGB14070 breaker?
Yes. The EJB14070 shares the same physical dimensions and mounting style as EDB and EGB breakers, but offers a higher interrupting rating. It can be used as a direct replacement or upgrade in NF panelboards where higher fault current protection is required.
What does the J in the EJB14070 part number indicate?
In the Square D E-frame family, the middle letter designates the interrupting rating tier. The J indicates the extra high interrupting rating tier, providing up to 65kA at 277V and 100kA at 120V, which is higher than the standard EDB and high EGB tiers.
What are the lug torque specifications for the EJB14070?
The tightening torque depends on the wire size used. For 14 to 10 AWG wire, torque the lugs to 34.5 lb-in. For 8 to 2/0 AWG wire, torque the lugs to 49.6 lb-in.
What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the EJB14070 terminals?
The factory installed lugs accept 14 AWG to 2/0 AWG copper wire, or 12 AWG to 2/0 AWG aluminum wire.
What does the LI trip function on the EJB14070 mean?
LI stands for Long-Time and Instantaneous trip functions. Long-Time provides overload protection by tripping on sustained overcurrents, while Instantaneous provides short-circuit protection by tripping immediately during a high fault current.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
