Part of the Quicklag QC series, this 25A miniature circuit breaker delivers dependable trip functions for commercial environments. It serves as an exact replacement for legacy Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse installations. The cable-in/cable-out configuration mounts into OEM control panels and equipment enclosures. With an available adapter, it easily integrates into DIN rail systems. This 1-pole breaker is HACR rated and provides a 10 kAIC interrupting capacity at 120/240V.
The QC1025 is a cable-in/cable-out panel mount breaker designed for OEM control panels and enclosures. It can also be mounted to a standard 35mm DIN rail by attaching the optional QCDINADAPT adapter clip to the back of the breaker.
What is the difference between the QC1025 and QCD1025?
The QC1025 is a standard panel mount breaker, while the QCD1025 is built at the factory specifically for 35mm DIN rail mounting. You can convert the standard QC1025 for DIN rail applications by adding a QCDINADAPT accessory.
What are the terminal torque specifications for the QC1025?
For Quicklag QC series breakers, the terminal torque depends on the wire gauge. Typically, use 20 in-lbs for 14-10 AWG, 25 in-lbs for 8 AWG, and 26 in-lbs for 6-4 AWG wire. Always verify the exact torque values printed on the side of the breaker before terminating.
Are Westinghouse, Cutler-Hammer, and Eaton QC1025 breakers interchangeable?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer electrical distribution businesses. The QC1025 is the exact same Quicklag miniature circuit breaker regardless of which of these three brand names is printed on the label.
Is the QC1025 HACR rated for HVAC applications?
Yes, Eaton Quicklag QC miniature circuit breakers rated from 10A to 100A are HACR rated, making this 25A breaker suitable for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment circuits.
Can I use ring terminals on the QC1025?
The standard QC1025 comes with screw/clamp terminals for bare wire. If your control panel requires ring terminals, you will need the ring-terminal variant, which is designated by adding a T suffix to the catalog number (QC1025T).
Can the QC1025 be used in direct current (DC) control circuits?
Yes, in addition to its 120/240VAC rating, this thermal magnetic breaker is rated for 48VDC applications with a 10kA interrupting capacity. This makes it suitable for specific DC control panels and battery-backed enclosures.
