No. The EDB36100 is an E-frame breaker strictly designed for NF series lighting and distribution panelboards. NQ panels require QO or QOB breakers, while I-Line panels require bracketed I-Line breakers.
How does the EDB36100 attach to the panelboard bus?
It features a standard bolt-on connection. The breaker secures directly to the NF panelboard bus bars using captive mounting screws, providing a high-integrity electrical connection suitable for commercial and industrial environments.
Can this breaker be used on an ungrounded 480V Delta system?
No. The breaker has slash voltage ratings of 480Y/277VAC and 600Y/347VAC. It is approved only for solidly grounded wye systems where the line-to-ground voltage does not exceed 277V or 347V. It is not rated for ungrounded or corner-grounded Delta systems.
Is the EDB36100 rated for use with heating and air conditioning equipment?
Yes, this circuit breaker carries a HACR rating, making it fully certified for use with motor-driven HVAC loads such as air compressors and refrigeration equipment.
What is the difference between the EDB36100, EGB36100, and EJB36100?
While these three E-frame models share the same physical dimensions and 100A rating for NF panelboards, their short-circuit interrupting ratings (AIC) at 480Y/277VAC differ. The EDB is rated for 18kA, the EGB for 35kA, and the EJB for 65kA.
Does this breaker include a visual trip indicator?
Yes, it features Square D's Visi-Trip technology. When the breaker trips due to an overcurrent or short circuit, the handle snaps to a center position and a high-visibility red indicator appears, allowing for rapid fault identification in the panel.
Does this model provide Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP)?

Expedited Shipments
