Built for heavy-duty commercial environments, this 30-amp E-Frame breaker delivers consistent thermal-magnetic trip performance. The bolt-on design integrates smoothly into Siemens Sentron and classic ITE panelboards, making it an excellent choice for maintaining established electrical distributions. Featuring a 10kAIC rating at 240VAC and HACR certification, it handles demanding HVAC loads with ease. Facility managers often upgrade to the ED23B030 when replacing this exact configuration.

Product FAQs
7 answers
Is there a modern replacement for the legacy EE3B030?
Yes. The Siemens ED23B030 is the direct modern equivalent. It shares the same 30A rating, 3-pole configuration, and bolt-on mounting style for seamless integration into existing Sentron and ITE panelboards.
How are the line and load connections configured on this breaker?
The EE3B030 is a bolt-on breaker that mounts directly to the panelboard bus on the line side. The load side comes equipped with mechanical lugs that accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire.
What type of trip unit does the EE3B030 use?
This breaker is equipped with a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. The LI designation indicates it provides Long-Time overload protection and Instantaneous short-circuit protection, with no adjustable settings.
Is the EE3B030 rated for HVAC equipment?
Yes, this breaker carries an HACR certification, making it suitable for protecting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning circuits that require standard thermal-magnetic protection.
Can the EE3B030 be used in DC applications?
Yes, in addition to its 240VAC rating, this breaker is rated for up to 250VDC with a 10kA interrupting capacity, allowing it to be used in specific direct current distribution systems.
Can I install the EE3B030 in a residential load center?
No. This is an E-frame molded case circuit breaker designed strictly for commercial and industrial distribution equipment, such as Siemens Sentron and legacy ITE panelboards. It is not compatible with residential load centers.
Does this breaker offer GFCI or AFCI protection?
No. The EE3B030 provides standard overcurrent and short-circuit protection only. It does not contain ground-fault (GFCI) or arc-fault (AFCI) sensing capabilities.
