What panelboards are compatible with the BJA36045?
This breaker is designed for use in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It features an I-Line style plug-in connection on the line side that mounts directly to the panel bus.
Can the BJA36045 replace older Square D circuit breakers?
Yes, the PowerPacT B-Frame series is the direct replacement for legacy Square D FA, FH, and FC frame breakers. It maintains the same I-Line mounting space dimensions to allow for easy retrofitting in existing panelboards.
What are the torque specifications for the load side lugs?
The factory-installed lugs accept 14 to 2/0 AWG aluminum or copper wire. The required tightening torque is 31.9 to 38.9 lb-in for 14 to 10 AWG wire, and 44.3 to 54.9 lb-in for 8 to 2/0 AWG wire.
What does the "J" in the BJA36045 catalog number indicate?
In the PowerPacT B-Frame nomenclature, the "J" designates the interrupting rating. This specific breaker provides a 100kA interrupting capacity at 240VAC and 65kA at 480VAC.
Are the trip settings adjustable on the BJA36045?
