This breaker is designed for use in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It features an I-Line style plug-on connection for the line side and mechanical lugs on the load side.
What is the difference between the LA36225 and the LH36225?
Both are 225A, 3-pole L-frame breakers with identical physical dimensions, but the LH36225 has a higher interrupting capacity. The LH36225 is a High Interrupting breaker rated at 35kA at 480VAC, whereas the standard LA36225 is rated at 30kA at 480VAC.
What is the magnetic trip range for this 225A breaker?
The LH36225 features an adjustable magnetic trip with a hold current of 1125A and a tripping current of 2250A.
Which replacement lugs are compatible with the LH36225?
This breaker uses the AL400LA mechanical lug kit. These lugs accept either one 1 AWG to 600 kcmil wire or two 1 AWG to 250 kcmil wires (aluminum or copper).
