5 answersWhat is the difference between this GFEP breaker and a standard GFCI breaker?
The Eaton GFEP120 provides Ground Fault Equipment Protection with a 30mA trip threshold. Standard GFCI breakers trip at 5mA for personnel protection. This 30mA rating prevents nuisance tripping on equipment like heat tracing, snow melting systems, or dedicated machinery.
Which load centers are compatible with the GFEP120 circuit breaker?
This breaker is designed for Eaton Type BR load centers. It is also UL approved for use in legacy Westinghouse, Challenger, Bryant, and Cutler-Hammer BR series panels.
How is the neutral connected on the GFEP120?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral connection. The coiled white pigtail wire must be routed and secured directly to the neutral bar in your panel for the ground fault protection to function correctly.
Does the GFEP120 replace older Cutler-Hammer equipment protection breakers?
Yes, this unit directly replaces older Cutler-Hammer and Bryant 20A single-pole GFEP breakers with the same BR footprint. Note that Eaton has also introduced the BRN120EP as a newer, compact-body alternative.
Can I use the GFEP120 for residential bathroom or kitchen outlets?
No. The National Electrical Code requires 5mA Class A GFCI protection for personnel in bathrooms, kitchens, and similar areas. This 30mA GFEP breaker is strictly for equipment protection and does not meet the code requirements for personnel safety.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
