Yes, although it is natively a unit mount breaker, it can be installed on a standard 35mm DIN rail by using an Eaton Series C DIN rail adapter bracket. This configuration is frequently used in OEM control panels.
How does the GHC1020 mount inside an enclosure?
This is a feed-thru, unit mount breaker. It does not plug into or bolt onto a standard panelboard busbar. Instead, it mounts directly to the backpan of an Eaton Series C enclosure or OEM panel, with wires connecting to both the line and load terminals.
Is the Eaton GHC1020 interchangeable with older Cutler-Hammer versions?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and continues to produce the Series C G-frame breakers. A Cutler-Hammer GHC1020 and an Eaton GHC1020 share the exact same physical dimensions, ratings, and catalog number.
