How many panel spaces does the BR270ST require?
The BR270ST requires three 1-inch panel spaces. The 2-pole breaker takes up two spaces, and the factory-installed shunt trip requires one additional space.
Can I add a shunt trip to a standard 70A BR breaker in the field?
No, shunt trips cannot be field-installed on Eaton BR series miniature circuit breakers. You must purchase a model with a factory-installed shunt trip, such as the BR270ST.
How does the shunt trip function on the BR270ST?
The factory-installed shunt trip allows the breaker to be opened remotely. When voltage is applied to the shunt trip coil via an external switch, relay, or emergency stop system, it mechanically trips the breaker to disconnect power.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
