This breaker provides Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP) to safeguard machinery and electrical systems from damaging low-level arcing faults. It is not intended for 5mA personnel protection (GFCI).
What panels are compatible with the ELJDC3250 breaker?
This unit-mount J-Frame breaker installs into Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers configured for feed-thru connections.
Can the ELJDC3250 replace legacy Westinghouse J-Frame breakers?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. This breaker is backward compatible with older Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer enclosures designed for unit-mount J-Frame devices.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip settings adjustable on this model?
No. The ELJDC3250 comes with a non-interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit featuring fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous settings, along with its integrated ground-fault protection.
What wire sizes and materials are supported by the terminal lugs?
The factory-installed line and load lugs accept either copper or aluminum (Al/Cu) conductors ranging from 4 AWG up to 350 kcmil. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
Can the ELJDC3250 be utilized in direct current (DC) systems?
Yes. While primarily used in AC systems up to 600VAC, this breaker is also rated for 250VDC applications, providing a 22kA interrupting capacity for DC circuits.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
