6 answersWhich panelboards accept the FCL32100 breaker?
This breaker is designed exclusively for Square D panelboards and switchboards configured for bolt-on F-frame circuit breakers. It will not fit in standard Cutler-Hammer or Westinghouse enclosures despite the F-frame designation overlap.
What type of wire can be used with the load side lugs on this breaker?
The factory-installed lugs are rated for both copper and aluminum (Cu/Al) conductors, accepting wire sizes from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
Are the trip settings adjustable on the FCL32100?
No. The thermal-magnetic trip unit features fixed Long-Time (L) and fixed Instantaneous (I) protection. Neither the overload nor the short-circuit trip thresholds can be modified in the field.
Is the FCL32100 suitable for commercial facilities with high fault current?
Yes. With a 100kA interrupting capacity at 240VAC, this breaker is engineered to safely clear severe short circuits in industrial and commercial distribution systems without sustaining internal damage.
Why is this breaker sometimes listed under Eaton or Cutler-Hammer?
The F-frame designation was historically used by Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer, leading to occasional cataloging overlap. However, the FCL32100 is a genuine Square D component built for Square D hardware.
Can the FCL32100 be installed in a 480V system?
No. This breaker has a maximum voltage rating of 240VAC. For 480V applications requiring a 100A 3-pole breaker, you must use the Square D FCL34100 instead.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
