Description
Operating at up to 600VAC, the Eaton FDC3100 delivers dependable long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection for industrial networks. This 3-pole, 100A molded case circuit breaker is a core component of the Series C F-Frame family. The unit mount design allows integration into Eaton switchboards, panelboards, and F-Frame enclosures. Featuring load side lugs, it replaces older FD3100 units requiring higher interrupt capacity. This breaker is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, motor control centers, and F-Frame enclosures.
What does the C in the FDC frame designation mean?
In Eaton Series C F-Frame nomenclature, the C indicates an extra-high interrupting capacity or current-limiting breaker. The FDC3100 provides up to 200kAIC at 240VAC and 100kAIC at 480VAC, which is significantly higher than standard FD or HFD models.
Can the FDC3100 be reverse fed?
Yes. Standard thermal-magnetic Series C F-Frame breakers like the FDC3100 do not have line and load markings and are suitable for reverse feed applications.
Can this breaker replace older Westinghouse FDC3100 models?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment line. The modern Eaton or Cutler-Hammer FDC3100 is a direct replacement for older Westinghouse breakers with the exact same catalog number.
Is the FDC3100 suitable for DC applications?
Yes, it is rated for up to 250VDC with an interrupting capacity of 22kAIC. When used in DC systems, multiple poles may need to be wired in series depending on the specific voltage and grounding configuration.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
