The L at the end of the part number signifies that the breaker comes factory-equipped with both line and load lugs. These standard lugs are designed to accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum wiring.
What is the difference between Eaton and Cutler-Hammer HFD1015L breakers?
Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and integrated their electrical distribution lines. An HFD1015L branded as Eaton is the exact same component as the older Cutler-Hammer version and serves as a direct, code-compliant replacement.
Can I use the HFD1015L to replace a standard FD1015L?
Yes. The HFD series is the high-interrupting version of the F-Frame family, offering 100kAIC at 240VAC compared to the standard FD series which offers 65kAIC. Upgrading to a breaker with a higher interrupting capacity is safe and acceptable as long as the physical dimensions and mounting style match.

Expedited Shipments
