Description
Part of the Eaton Series C family, this 50-amp, two-pole molded case circuit breaker is built for demanding commercial and industrial environments. It mounts into compatible switchboards, motor control centers, and panelboards using a standard unit-mount configuration. Featuring a high interrupting capacity of 65kA at 480VAC, the unit includes line and load lugs for immediate wiring. Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse molded case circuit breaker line. The modern Eaton or Cutler-Hammer HFD2050L is a direct, drop-in replacement for the legacy Westinghouse HFD2050L, sharing the exact same physical dimensions and F-frame footprint.
What is the difference between the FD and HFD series breakers?
Both are Series C F-frame breakers with identical physical dimensions, but the HFD series features a higher interrupting capacity. The HFD2050L is rated for 65kAIC at 480VAC and 100kAIC at 240VAC, whereas standard FD breakers have lower fault current ratings.
What wire gauge is accepted by the standard lugs on the HFD2050L?
The factory-installed line and load lugs accept 14 AWG through 1/0 AWG wire. They are rated for use with both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors.
What types of equipment are compatible with this breaker?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
