Yes, the Eaton MDL3300 is a direct replacement for legacy Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse Series C M-frame circuit breakers with the same specifications.
Is the MDL3300 a 100 percent rated circuit breaker?
No, the standard MDL3300 is 80 percent rated. If your application requires a 100 percent rated breaker in this frame size, you will need the CMDL3300, which also requires an electronic trip unit.
What standard lug kit is included with the MDL3300?
This breaker comes standard with TA700MA1 lugs, which accept two 1 AWG to 500 kcmil aluminum or copper conductors per phase.
Is the Eaton MDL3300 suitable for reverse feed applications?
Yes, standard Series C MDL-frame thermal-magnetic circuit breakers are suitable for reverse feed applications.
What is the difference between the MDL3300 and the HMDL3300?
The MDL3300 has a standard interrupting capacity of 50kAIC at 480VAC. The HMDL3300 is the high-interrupting version, rated for 65kAIC at 480VAC. Both share the same physical M-frame dimensions.
Are the trip settings on the MDL3300 adjustable?
No, the MDL3300 features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. It does not offer adjustable long-time or instantaneous settings.
Does the MDL3300 require a rating plug?
No, rating plugs are only used on Eaton electronic trip units. The MDL3300 uses a traditional thermal-magnetic trip unit that does not require a rating plug.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
