5 answersWhat load centers are compatible with the BJH2150 circuit breaker?
The BJH2150 is designed for use in Eaton Type BR load centers. It is also backward compatible with many older Westinghouse and Bryant panels that accept Type BJ or BR main breakers.
How many panel spaces does the BJH2150 require?
This 2-pole breaker requires four 1-inch spaces total. It mounts across the bus, occupying two 1-inch spaces on the left side and two 1-inch spaces on the right side of the load center.
Is a hold-down kit required when using the BJH2150 as a main breaker?
Yes. When the BJH2150 is back-fed and used as a main breaker, a hold-down kit is required to secure it to the panel bus and comply with National Electrical Code requirements.
Can the BJH2150 be used as a branch circuit breaker?
Yes. While frequently used as a replacement main breaker in older panels, the BJH2150 can also be installed as a branch circuit breaker in current Eaton Type BR load centers to feed large subpanels or heavy equipment.
What is the difference between the Eaton BJ2150 and the BJH2150?
The difference is the short-circuit interrupting rating. The standard BJ2150 is rated at 10 kAIC, while the BJH2150 features a higher interrupting rating of 22 kAIC. Both are 150A, 2-pole breakers with identical physical dimensions.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
