5 answersCan the BR215AF be installed in older Bryant or Westinghouse electrical panels?
Yes. Eaton BR series breakers are the direct, UL-approved replacements for legacy Bryant, Westinghouse, and Challenger panels that specify Type BR breakers on their panel label.
How is the neutral connection wired for this breaker?
The BR215AF features a pigtail neutral wire. This coiled white wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in the load center to power the internal arc fault detection circuitry of the breaker.
Can this 2-pole AFCI be used for multi-wire branch circuits with a shared neutral?
Yes. Two-pole arc fault breakers like the BR215AF are designed to support multi-wire branch circuits (MWBCs) where two 120V circuits share a single neutral return path, as well as dedicated 240V loads.
Does this breaker provide Combination AFCI (CAFCI) protection?
No. The BR215AF is a Branch/Feeder AFCI, which meets earlier National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. For modern Combination AFCI protection that detects both parallel and series arcs, a CAFCI model like the BRL215CAF is required.
Is this the same as a Cutler-Hammer BR215AF?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and continues to manufacture the BR series under the Eaton brand. A breaker labeled Eaton BR215AF is identical in form and function to the older Cutler-Hammer version.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
