Description
Part of the BR family, the Eaton BRHH270 delivers 70 amps of protection for residential and commercial applications. It features a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism to handle overloads and short circuits. This plug-on breaker installs into Eaton Type BR load centers and meter breakers. It accepts #4 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire via box lug terminals. With a high interrupting rating of 42kAIC at 120/240V, it offers superior fault protection. It is designed for use in Eaton Type BR load centers. It is also a UL-approved replacement for legacy Bryant, Westinghouse, and Challenger panels that accept Type BR plug-on breakers.
What does the HH in the BRHH270 catalog number indicate?
The HH designates a high interrupting rating of 42kAIC at 240V. This provides greater fault current protection compared to standard BR breakers, which are rated at 10kAIC, or BRH breakers rated at 22kAIC.
How much panel space does the BRHH270 require?
This 2-pole breaker requires two standard 1-inch spaces, taking up a total of 2 inches on the load center bus bar.
Can the BRHH270 be used to replace a standard BR270?
Yes. The BRHH270 shares the same physical dimensions and plug-on mounting style as the standard BR270. It can serve as a direct replacement when a higher 42kAIC interrupting rating is required by the electrical system.
Does this breaker provide AFCI or GFCI protection?
No. The BRHH270 is a standard thermal-magnetic circuit breaker that provides overload and short-circuit protection. It does not contain arc fault or ground fault circuitry.
Can I install the BRHH270 in a Square D or Siemens panel?
No. This breaker is exclusively designed for Eaton Type BR, Bryant, Westinghouse, and Challenger load centers. It is not UL listed for use in panels from other manufacturers like Square D, Siemens, or GE.
How do I reset the BRHH270 after a trip?
When the breaker trips, the handle will move to a center position. To restore power, push the handle completely to the OFF position to reset the internal mechanism, then push it firmly to the ON position.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
