This breaker is designed exclusively for Eaton and Cutler-Hammer CH series load centers. It requires two 3/4-inch spaces and is not compatible with BR series or other 1-inch load centers.
Can I install the CH220AF in an older Cutler-Hammer panel?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer, and current Eaton CH series breakers are fully backward compatible with older Cutler-Hammer CH load centers.
What type of arc fault protection does the CH220AF provide?
The CH220AF is a Branch/Feeder Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI). It is designed to mitigate parallel arcing faults in the branch circuit wiring and connected cords. It is not a Combination AFCI (CAFCI).
What is the difference between the CH220AF and the CH220CAF?
The CH220AF is a Branch/Feeder AFCI, whereas the CH220CAF is a Combination AFCI (CAFCI) that detects both parallel and series arcs. Because many modern NEC codes require Combination AFCI protection, verify your local code requirements before selecting the CH220AF.
How is the neutral connected on the CH220AF?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral. The coiled white pigtail wire must be routed and connected directly to the panel's neutral bus bar for the arc fault circuitry to function properly.
Can this 2-pole AFCI be used for multi-wire branch circuits?
Yes, this 2-pole common-trip AFCI is suitable for 240V loads or multi-wire branch circuits (shared neutral circuits) sourced by a 120/240V system.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.

When our main breaker frizzed out, the option we were presented with was replacing the entire panel and service due to the type and part - no longer produced for replacement parts. It would be a $6500 replacement.
We'll likely have to do it at some point but, for now, the replacement breaker we were able to source from Superbreakers (with a $25 warranty) was $5900 less expensive. installation ran a few hundred dollars and the tech said the part looked to be in excellent condition and was prepped for install as he would have hoped.
