5 answersWill this breaker fit in a standard Eaton CH or BR load center?
No. The CHQ series is exclusively UL-classified for use in Square D QO load centers. It will not fit standard Eaton CH, Eaton BR, or Square D Homeline panels.
How does the pigtail neutral connect during installation?
The white pigtail wire must be connected directly to the panel neutral bus bar. Even if your 240V load does not require a neutral, this connection is mandatory to power the internal 5mA ground-fault sensing circuitry of the breaker.
What level of ground-fault protection does the CHQ250GF provide?
This breaker provides Class A ground-fault protection with a 5mA trip sensitivity. It is designed for personnel safety in damp locations, such as pools, spas, and hot tubs, immediately breaking the circuit if current leakage is detected.
How much panel space is required to install this 50A GFCI breaker?
The CHQ250GF requires two standard 3/4-inch spaces in a Square D QO load center. It features a plug-on connection to the bus bar and a common trip mechanism to ensure both poles open simultaneously during a fault.
Is the CHQ250GF rated for use with aluminum wiring?
Yes, the box lug terminals are rated for both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors. When terminating aluminum wires, ensure you apply an approved oxide-inhibiting joint compound to prevent corrosion and maintain a secure connection.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
