Description

Will the EC3040 replace older Westinghouse E-Frame breakers?
Yes. The EC3040 belongs to the classic Westinghouse E-Frame family and shares the same physical footprint, making it a suitable drop-in replacement for aging E-Frame breakers in compatible panelboards.
What wire sizes are accepted by the lugs on the EC3040?
The standard lugs on this breaker accept wire gauges ranging from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. The terminals are rated for use with both copper and aluminum conductors.
Can the trip settings on the EC3040 be adjusted in the field?
No. This breaker is built with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip units. The long-time and instantaneous trip functions are factory-set and cannot be modified by the user.
Can the EC3040 be used in 480V applications?
No. The EC3040 is strictly rated for a maximum of 240VAC with a 10kAIC interrupting capacity. For 480V applications, a different breaker series such as the EHD frame must be selected.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
