Can the FDC3175 replace older Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer FDC breakers?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. A modern Eaton FDC3175 is a direct, drop-in replacement for legacy Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer breakers with the exact same catalog number.
Can I use the FDC3175 in place of an FD3175 or HFD3175?
Yes. The FDC3175 shares the exact same physical dimensions as the standard FD3175 and high-interrupting HFD3175, but features an ultra-high interrupting capacity (100kAIC at 480VAC). It is safe and code-compliant to use a higher-rated breaker in place of a lower-rated one within the same frame family.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip points adjustable on this breaker?
No. The FDC3175 features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. If you require adjustable trip settings, you will need a breaker with an electronic trip unit, such as an FDE frame.

Expedited Shipments
