Rated 22 kAIC at 120/240VAC, this Eaton GFTCBH220 provides high-interrupting ground-fault protection for residential and commercial circuits. The 20-amp, two-pole GFCI breaker features a 5mA trip sensitivity and comes equipped with a pigtail neutral. The plug-on design mounts into Eaton BR load centers, as well as older Westinghouse, Challenger, and Bryant panels. It is the predecessor to the updated BRHN220GF model.Specifications

This plug-on GFCI breaker is designed for use in Eaton Type BR load centers. It is also backward compatible with legacy Westinghouse, Challenger, and Bryant panels that accept Type BR breakers.
What is the difference between the GFTCB220 and the GFTCBH220?
The H in the catalog number indicates a high interrupting rating. While the standard GFTCB220 is rated for 10 kAIC, the GFTCBH220 provides a 22 kAIC interrupting rating for systems with higher available fault current.
What level of ground fault protection does this breaker provide?
It provides Class A personnel protection, meaning it is designed to trip when it detects a ground fault of 5 milliamperes (5mA). This meets NEC requirements for areas requiring GFCI protection.
Does this breaker require a pigtail connection?
Yes, it features a pigtail neutral wire that must be connected directly to the panel neutral bus bar. This connection is required to power the ground fault sensing circuitry, even if the load circuit does not use a neutral.
Can this breaker replace a Bryant or Challenger GFCI?
Yes, Eaton Type BR breakers are UL listed to replace legacy Bryant Type BR and Challenger Type C or HACR breakers of the same amperage and voltage.
Can this 2-pole GFCI be used on a 120/240V multiwire branch circuit?
Yes, two-pole GFTCB breakers are designed for use in 120/240V three-wire circuits, including multiwire branch circuits with a shared neutral, as well as straight 240V two-wire circuits.
What do the Long-Time and Instantaneous trip functions indicate?
Long-Time provides thermal overload protection by tripping slowly on minor overcurrents, while Instantaneous provides magnetic short-circuit protection by tripping immediately during a major fault. The Ground-Fault function adds the 5mA personnel protection.

Expedited Shipments
