No. The 35 suffix in the catalog number indicates a Digitrip 310+ electronic trip unit with LSG functions (Long-Time, Short-Time, and Ground-Fault). It does not include an instantaneous trip function.
What is the difference between the FDE322535L and the HFDE322535L?
The difference is the short-circuit interrupting rating. The HFDE322535L is the high-interrupting version rated at 65 kAIC at 480VAC, while the standard FDE322535L is rated for 35 kAIC at 480VAC.
Can the HFDE322535L be reverse fed?
Yes. Eaton Series C FDE electronic breakers are suitable for reverse-feed applications.
Is the HFDE322535L rated for DC applications?
No. Eaton FDE electronic trip breakers do not carry DC ratings. If a DC rating is required, a thermal-magnetic F-frame breaker must be used.
Do I need a neutral current sensor (CT) for the HFDE322535L?
Neutral CTs are not included with the breaker and must be ordered separately. A neutral sensor is only required if you are installing this ground-fault (LSG) breaker in a four-wire system. Three-wire systems do not require a neutral sensor.
Is the HFDE322535L 100% rated?
No. Eaton Series C FDE electronic breakers are standard 80% rated devices.
Can the HFDE322535L replace an older thermal-magnetic HFD breaker?
Yes. The F-frame electronic breaker shares the same footprint, dimensions, and connectors as the standard HFD breaker. However, if installing in a panelboard, the deadfront filler plate is different and will need to be replaced.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Expedited Shipments
