7 answersCan the Eaton KD2200 replace an older Westinghouse KD2200 breaker?
Yes. Eaton acquired Westinghouse's distribution equipment division. The Series C KD2200 is a direct, drop-in replacement for the legacy Westinghouse KD2200, sharing the same physical dimensions and K-Frame footprint.
What is the difference between the KD2200, HKD2200, and KDC2200?
The difference is the interrupting capacity at 480VAC. The standard KD2200 is rated for 35kAIC, the high-interrupting HKD2200 is rated for 65kAIC, and the ultra-high KDC2200 is rated for 100kAIC. All three share the same K-Frame physical dimensions.
Can I use the KD2200 to replace an obsolete LB, KA, or JA frame breaker?
Yes, the KD2200 shares the same physical dimensions as legacy LB, KA, and JA breakers. However, because the top terminal tangs on the KD are at a different height, you will need to install a TAD3 spacer on the line side for proper fitment in existing panelboards.
Is the KD2200 suitable for reverse feed applications?
Yes. Because this K-Frame breaker features a non-interchangeable, fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit without specific Line and Load markings, it is suitable for reverse feed installations.
What wire sizes do the standard lugs on the KD2200 accept?
The standard factory lugs accommodate wire sizes from 3 AWG up to 350 kcmil. The terminals are rated for use with either aluminum or copper conductors.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
