6 answersWhat panelboards and equipment are compatible with the MDL2600?
This M-frame breaker is designed for installation in Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. It can also be mounted in standalone M-frame enclosures or busway plug-in units.
What lug kit comes standard with the MDL2600?
The standard lug kit is the TA700MA1. Each lug accommodates two 1 AWG to 500 kcmil aluminum or copper conductors per pole.
Is the MDL2600 suitable for reverse feed applications?
No. Standard MDL breakers are not approved for reverse feeding. Eaton requires factory sealed breakers without line and load markings, such as the MDLB series, for reverse feed installations.
Can the MDL2600 replace obsolete Westinghouse MA or MD breakers?
Yes, the Series C MDL frame shares the same physical dimensions as legacy MA, HMA, MD, and MDS breakers. Note that existing handle mechanisms, cutouts, or motor operators may need modification when upgrading to the MDL2600.
Is the MDL2600 rated for 100 percent continuous operation?
No, the MDL2600 is a standard 80 percent rated breaker. Applications requiring a 100 percent continuous rating need the CMDL frame equivalent, which also requires specific enclosure ventilation and 90 degree Celsius rated wire.
Are the trip settings adjustable on the MDL2600?
No, this specific configuration features a thermal magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous trip functions.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
