This breaker installs in Square D NF panelboards and Powerlink panelboards. The panelboard must be equipped with a control bus strip to interface with the breaker for Powerlink G3 or G4 lighting control systems.
How does the remote switching mechanism work on the ECB-G3 breaker?
The breaker contains an internal 24 Vdc motor and drive train. When plugged into the panelboard control bus with the breaker handle in the ON position, the system can remotely open and close the contacts, combining standard overcurrent protection with contactor-style switching.
Can I manually operate the ECB24015G3 if the automated lighting control system fails?
Yes. There is a manual override selector on the front of the breaker. Engaging manual mode disconnects the internal motor drive train, allowing you to manually toggle the contacts using the breaker handle.
What specific load types is the ECB24015G3 rated to handle?
