The HCA3150 is a legacy CA-frame breaker designed to fit vintage Westinghouse CDP and FDP panelboards. It is also compatible with select legacy Westinghouse Motor Control Centers.
What is the difference between the Westinghouse CA3150 and HCA3150?
The H in the HCA3150 catalog number designates a high interrupting capacity. While a standard CA3150 is rated for 10kAIC at 240VAC, the HCA3150 provides a 42kAIC rating for systems with higher available fault current.
Is the Westinghouse HCA3150 still manufactured?
No, the Westinghouse CA, CAH, and HCA frames are obsolete. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment division and now offers modern Series C replacements, such as the ED or F-Frame breakers. Note that installing modern replacements in vintage CDP or FDP panelboards may require specific retrofit hardware.
What type of wire can be used with the HCA3150 lugs?
The standard feed-thru lugs on this breaker accept #4 to 4/0 AWG conductors and are UL listed for both copper and aluminum wire. If you are terminating aluminum conductors, you must apply an approved joint compound prior to termination to prevent oxidation.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
