Are Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and Westinghouse HKA3070 breakers the exact same?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment business and integrated it into their Cutler-Hammer line. An HKA3070 breaker has the same physical dimensions and ratings regardless of which of these three brands is printed on the label.
What does the H in the HKA prefix indicate?
The H designates this as a high-interrupting capacity breaker within the Mark 75 family. It provides higher fault current protection compared to standard KA frame breakers.
Can the trip unit on the HKA3070 be swapped out?
Yes, this breaker features an interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit. This allows panel builders to change the amperage rating by swapping the trip unit while keeping the existing K-frame installed.
How does the adjustable magnetic trip work on this breaker?
The HKA3070 features a fixed thermal element for overload protection and an adjustable magnetic element for short-circuit protection. The magnetic trip threshold can be adjusted using the dial on the front of the trip unit to coordinate with other protective devices.

Shipping
Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
