This breaker is designed for use in Eaton Pow-R-Line 3a (PRL3a) and Pow-R-Line 4 (PRL4) panelboards, as well as legacy Westinghouse panelboards and switchboards that accept Series C K-Frame breakers.
Are Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and Westinghouse HKL3225 breakers interchangeable?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment business and integrated it into the Cutler-Hammer line. An HKL3225 breaker with any of these brand names shares the exact same physical dimensions, mounting hardware, and electrical characteristics.
How does the HKL3225 differ from a standard KL3225 breaker?
The H prefix designates a high interrupting rating. While both are Series C K-Frame breakers with the same physical footprint and mounting requirements, the HKL provides higher fault current protection than the standard KL series.
Can the trip settings on the HKL3225 be adjusted?
This breaker features a thermal-magnetic trip unit with a fixed thermal element for long-time overload protection and an adjustable magnetic element for instantaneous short-circuit protection. The magnetic response can be tuned using the dials on the front of the breaker to coordinate with downstream devices.
What wire size range do the standard lugs on this breaker accept?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
