This H-frame molded case circuit breaker is designed for legacy Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) switchboards and CDP (Circuit Distribution Panel) panelboards.
What does the H in the HFJ frame designation indicate?
The H designates a high-interrupting capacity version of the standard FPE FJ or NFJ frame, allowing it to safely clear larger fault currents in commercial and industrial distribution systems.
Does this breaker require a separate mounting hardware kit?
Yes. Installing this bolt-on breaker into an FPE CDP panel requires a compatible mounting hardware kit, such as the NFJ1K, to properly secure the connections to the panel busbar.
Are Federal Pacific HFJ breakers still manufactured?
No. Federal Pacific Electric is no longer in business, making original HFJ series breakers obsolete. Replacements are typically sourced as tested legacy stock to maintain existing FPE infrastructure.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
