Part of the legacy N-frame series, the Federal Pacific NEF425100 provides a seamless fit for discontinued commercial panelboards. This 100-amp, two-pole molded case circuit breaker eliminates the need for costly system overhauls by offering an exact match for aging electrical infrastructure. Installing via a dependable bolt-on connection, it utilizes standard 4-1/0 AWG wire lugs.
What panelboards accept the Federal Pacific NEF425100 circuit breaker?
This N-frame breaker is designed for legacy Federal Pacific (FPE) commercial and industrial panelboards, such as the CDP series, that are configured for bolt-on NEF frame breakers.
Is the NEF425100 compatible with residential FPE Stab-Lok load centers?
No. The NEF425100 is a commercial bolt-on molded case circuit breaker. It will not fit residential Stab-Lok load centers, which require plug-on NA, NB, or NC series breakers.
Can the NEF425100 be used in DC power systems?
Yes, this breaker is rated for use in DC systems up to 250VDC, providing an interrupting capacity of 10kAIC at that voltage.
How is the NEF425100 installed into the panelboard bus?
It utilizes a bolt-on connection, meaning it must be mechanically fastened directly to the panelboard bus using appropriate mounting hardware or bus connection kits.
What wire gauge range is supported by the terminals on the NEF425100?
The standard lugs on this breaker accommodate wire sizes ranging from 4 AWG to 1/0 AWG.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit on the NEF425100 operate?
The trip unit provides fixed thermal protection for long-time overload conditions and fixed magnetic protection for instantaneous short-circuit response. Both functions are non-adjustable on this specific frame.

Great service & pricing
Superbreakers did a great job for us. We called and asked if the breakers were actually in their possession. Withing 30 minutes they called us back (which is rare these days), and we got our breakers the next morning.
