This N frame breaker is designed specifically for installation in legacy Federal Pacific NM panelboards and commercial switchboards. It requires a bolt-on connection and will not fit standard residential load centers.
What are the wire size requirements for the load side lugs?
The load side lugs are configured to accept three 250 to 500 kcmil conductors per phase. Always verify that your conductors are properly sized for a 700A load and torque the lugs to the manufacturer specifications during installation.
Is the trip unit on this 700A breaker adjustable?
No, the thermal magnetic trip unit on this model has fixed thermal and fixed magnetic settings. While the trip settings are not adjustable, the trip unit itself is interchangeable within the N frame if different protection parameters are required for your system later.
Can this be used to replace a Federal Pacific Stab-Lok breaker?
No. The NM022700 is a large molded case circuit breaker intended for heavy commercial or industrial use. It is completely incompatible with residential Stab-Lok panels.

Expedited Shipments
