What is the difference between the THHQL1115AF and the THQL1115AF?
Both are 15-amp, 1-pole arc fault circuit breakers with a 1-inch wide footprint. The difference is the interrupting rating. The THQL1115AF has a standard 10kAIC rating, while the THHQL1115AF features a higher 22kAIC rating for locations with higher available fault current.
How is the neutral connected on the THHQL1115AF?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral connection. During installation, the attached coiled white pigtail wire must be routed and secured directly to the neutral bus bar in the panelboard.
What type of protection does an AFCI breaker like the THHQL1115AF provide?
Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCI) are designed to detect unintended electrical arcs, which can cause extreme heat and electrical fires. When an arc fault is detected, the breaker trips to de-energize the circuit and mitigate fire hazards.
What does the LI trip function code mean on this breaker?
The LI code stands for Long-Time and Instantaneous trip functions. The thermal element provides Long-Time protection against gradual overloads, while the magnetic element provides Instantaneous protection against sudden short circuits.
Will the THHQL1115AF fit in a half-inch THQP slot?
No. The THHQL1115AF is built on the standard 1-inch THQL frame. It requires a full 1-inch space in the panel and cannot be used in slots restricted exclusively to half-inch THQP breakers.

Free Shipping Policy
