This 3-pole, unit-mount breaker is designed to fit into compatible GE switchboards, motor control centers, and dedicated J-Frame enclosures. It supports wire gauges up to 600 kcmil. This breaker is designed for use in GE J600 enclosures, as well as compatible GE switchboards and motor control centers.
What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the lugs on this breaker?
The factory lugs accept either a single 6 AWG to 600 kcmil conductor or dual 2/0 AWG to 250 kcmil conductors per phase. Both copper and aluminum wiring are supported.
How does the adjustable magnetic trip work on this breaker?
The THJK436400 features a fixed thermal element for overload protection and an adjustable magnetic element for short-circuit protection. The instantaneous trip setting can be adjusted on the face of the breaker to coordinate with downstream devices.
Is this an ABB or GE breaker?
ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions in 2018. Depending on the manufacturing date, this breaker may carry either the General Electric or ABB branding, but the physical dimensions, mounting, and performance remain identical.
Can the THJK436400 be reverse fed?
Yes. Like other GE J600 frame molded case circuit breakers, the THJK436400 is standard rated for reverse feed applications.
Does this breaker provide ground fault protection?
No. The THJK436400 is equipped with an LI (Long-Time, Instantaneous) trip unit, which provides overload and short-circuit protection. It does not include ground fault protection.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
