Product FAQs

6 answers
What is the difference between THQC, THQL, and THQB breakers?

All three belong to the GE Q-Line family but feature different mounting styles. THQC breakers are lug-to-lug devices designed for DIN rail or base mounting in control panels. THQL breakers are plug-in units for residential load centers, while THQB breakers are bolt-on units for commercial panelboards.

What is the ground-fault trip threshold for the THQC2115GFT?

This is a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) designed for personnel protection. It is calibrated to trip when it detects a ground-fault leakage current of 5mA.

How is the pigtail neutral used during installation?

The attached pigtail neutral wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in your panel or enclosure. This connection is required to power the internal electronics that monitor the circuit for ground faults.

How do you mount this THQC breaker in a control panel?

The THQC2115GFT features a feed-thru design with line and load lugs. It can be snapped directly onto standard 35mm DIN rail systems or secured using compatible GE Q-Line mounting hardware, such as the THQCFMK front/rear mounting clip or TQCBMPA2 back mounting plate.

Why is this breaker listed under both ABB and General Electric?

ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions, meaning legacy GE Q-Line breakers are now manufactured under the ABB brand. The THQC2115GFT retains the exact same physical dimensions, mounting style, and electrical characteristics as the original GE-branded units.

What does the LIG trip function indicate on this model?

The LIG designation means the breaker includes Long-Time, Instantaneous, and Ground-Fault trip functions. This provides comprehensive protection against sustained thermal overloads, sudden magnetic short circuits, and dangerous current leakage to ground.

    Recent Breaker Purchases

These breakers matched perfectly for my main AC supplies for my boat. I had the original 43-year-old Chinese (GenFu) breakers that failed and these GEs were a perfect match. My only reservation for not providing a 5-star review is breakers do not arrive in GE's original packaging which can lead to questions whether they are truly "new" breakers. Otherewise, happy I found some that replaced my originals. Thanks SB!

Everything worked out just fine. I would recommend it again.

Considering how old the panel was the breaker worked out just fine. Were you again?
