Can I use the TECL36030 as a standalone branch circuit breaker?
No. Under NEC and UL 489 guidelines, a magnetic-only motor circuit protector like the TECL36030 must be installed as part of a listed combination motor controller that includes a separate overload relay. It cannot be used for general branch circuit overcurrent protection.
What is the difference between the TEC36030 and the TECL36030?
Both are 30A, 3-pole Mag-Break motor circuit protectors in the GE E-Frame family. The difference is their interrupting capacity. The standard TEC36030 is rated for 10kAIC at 480V, while the TECL36030 is a current-limiting version rated for 100kAIC at 480V.

Free Shipping Policy
