6 answersWhat load centers are compatible with the BRHH280 circuit breaker?
The BRHH280 is designed specifically for use in Eaton Type BR load centers. It is also backward compatible with legacy Cutler-Hammer and Bryant panels that accept Type BR plug-on breakers.
What is the difference between the BR280 and the BRHH280?
While both are 80-amp, 2-pole Type BR breakers, the BRHH280 features a high interrupting rating of 42kAIC at 240V. The standard BR280 has a 10kAIC rating, and the BRH280 has a 22kAIC rating.
Can I use the Eaton BRHH280 to replace a Bryant BRHH280?
Yes. Eaton acquired Bryant and Cutler-Hammer, and they share the Type BR product line. The Eaton BRHH280 is the direct, UL-listed replacement for older Bryant or Cutler-Hammer BRHH280 breakers.
Will the Eaton BRHH280 fit in a Square D or Siemens panel?
No. Eaton Type BR breakers are proprietary and not interchangeable with Square D, Siemens, or other competitor panels. They must be installed in a compatible Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, or Bryant Type BR load center to maintain UL listing and code compliance.
What type of wire can I use with the BRHH280?
The box lug terminals on this breaker are rated for both copper and aluminum conductors. They accept wire gauges ranging from 4 AWG up to 1/0 AWG.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
