Is the Siemens Q280 a direct replacement for the Murray MP280?
Yes. Siemens phased out the Murray brand and officially cross-listed the Type QP series as the UL-listed replacement for legacy Murray Type MP-T breakers, including the MP280.
How many panel spaces does the Siemens Q280 require?
As a 2-pole breaker in the standard 1-inch per pole format, it requires two adjacent spaces, taking up 2 inches total in the load center.
Is this circuit breaker HACR rated?
Yes, the Q280 is HACR rated, meaning it is approved for protecting heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment circuits.
What is the difference between the Siemens Q280 and Q280H?
The Q280 has a standard interrupting rating of 10kAIC at 120/240VAC. The Q280H is the high-interrupting version of the same breaker, rated for 22kAIC.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
