Product FAQs
7 answers
What legacy Square D circuit breakers does the PowerPacT BGL26030 replace?
The PowerPacT B-Frame series, including the BGL26030, is designed to replace legacy Square D FA, FH, FAL, and FHL series molded case circuit breakers in control panels and power distribution applications.
What type of lugs are included with the BGL26030 circuit breaker?
This unit-mount breaker features patented EverLink lugs on both the line and load ends. EverLink lugs maintain constant contact pressure on the conductor, reducing the risk of cables loosening over time due to thermal cycling.
How is the BGL26030 circuit breaker mounted in a control panel?
The BGL26030 is a unit-mount circuit breaker that features integrated DIN rail mounting capability. It can also be installed using traditional back-pan mounting with screws, providing flexibility for industrial control panel layouts.
Can the BGL26030 be used in DC voltage applications?
Yes, in addition to its AC ratings, this 2-pole thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is rated for use in DC electrical distribution systems up to 250VDC.
What internal contact design does the PowerPacT B-Frame use to limit fault currents?
PowerPacT B-Frame circuit breakers are equipped with dual-break rotating contacts. This design rapidly repels the contacts during a short circuit, reducing peak let-through current and enhancing overall equipment protection.
What wire sizes are compatible with the feed-thru lugs on the BGL26030?
The lugs accept AWG 14 to AWG 3/0 rigid or stranded aluminum or copper wire, as well as AWG 6 to AWG 2/0 fine stranded aluminum or copper wire.
Does the BGL26030 include a push-to-trip feature?
Yes, all PowerPacT circuit breakers feature an integral push-to-trip button on the front cover, allowing users to manually trip the breaker for testing and maintenance purposes.
