Product FAQs
6 answersCan the BR2125 be installed in older Westinghouse or Bryant panels?
Yes. Eaton acquired these legacy brands, making the BR2125 a UL-listed, direct replacement for Westinghouse, Bryant, and Challenger load centers that accept Type BR breakers.
How many panel spaces does the Eaton BR2125 require?
This 2-pole miniature circuit breaker takes up two standard 1-inch spaces in a Type BR load center, requiring a total width of 2 inches.
Can I backfeed the BR2125 to use it as a main breaker?
Yes, this breaker can be backfed for use as a main breaker if your load center is approved for backfeeding. To comply with the National Electrical Code, you must also install a compatible hold-down kit or retainer bracket.
What is the terminal temperature rating for the BR2125?
The box lugs on the BR2125 are rated for 60 degrees C or 75 degrees C conductors. Ensure your copper or aluminum wire ampacity is properly sized according to these temperature columns.
Is the modern Eaton BR2125 the same as the Cutler-Hammer BR2125?
Yes, Eaton and Cutler-Hammer are the same manufacturer. The current Eaton BR2125 is the exact replacement for older Cutler-Hammer versions of this part number.
Is the BR2125 HACR rated?
Yes, Eaton Type BR 2-pole circuit breakers carry an HACR listing. This makes the BR2125 suitable for protecting compatible heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
