Yes, this duplex breaker fits into the exact same 1-inch bolt-on space as a standard 1-pole BL breaker. This allows you to add an extra 20A circuit without requiring a larger enclosure or more panel space.
Are there limits on how many BT series tandem breakers I can install in my panelboard?
Yes. Because each tandem breaker adds an extra circuit to a single space, the maximum number installed is limited by the available neutral connections in your specific panel. Verify the panel has sufficient neutral lugs before expanding circuits.
Can the B2020 power a 240V double-pole load?
No. Both circuits draw from a single bus stab and are on the same phase. This tandem breaker provides two independent 120V circuits and cannot be used to power 240V equipment requiring a true 2-pole breaker.
Is there an alternative breaker available if the facility requires a higher interrupting capacity?
Yes. If your system requires more than the standard 10kAIC rating, you can upgrade to the Siemens B2020H. The B2020H provides identical tandem 20A circuits but is rated for 22kAIC.
Do I need special mounting hardware to install this in a Siemens commercial panelboard?
No adapters are required. The breaker is designed to bolt directly to the bus of compatible P1 through P5 distribution panelboards.
Is this breaker suitable for use with HVAC equipment?
Yes, this unit is HACR rated, meaning it is safety certified for the inductive loads generated by heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Will the B2020 bolt-on breaker fit in standard Siemens residential load centers?
No. The B2020 features a bolt-on connection designed specifically for commercial panelboards. It is not compatible with plug-on residential load centers, which typically require QP or QT series breakers.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
