The Q115AF is a Type QP breaker designed for use in Siemens PL, ES, EQ, and Ultimate series load centers. It is also compatible with older ITE, Gould, and Murray panels that accept plug-on Type QP breakers.
Can I use the Q115AF in an Eaton or Square D panel?
No. Siemens Type QP breakers are not interchangeable with Eaton, Square D, or GE panels. They must only be installed in UL listed Siemens, Murray, ITE, or Gould load centers to maintain safety and code compliance.
What is the difference between the Siemens Q115AF and Q115AFC?
The Q115AF is a Branch/Feeder AFCI, which detects parallel arc faults. The Q115AFC is a Combination AFCI, which detects both parallel and series arc faults to meet newer NEC requirements. The Q115AFC is the direct replacement for the Q115AF in modern residential applications.
How does the Q115AF connect to the neutral bus?
This breaker features a standard pigtail neutral connection. The coiled white wire extending from the breaker must be connected directly to the panel neutral bus bar for the arc fault circuitry to function properly.
Is the Siemens Q115AF rated for switching duty (SWD) and HVAC equipment (HACR)?
Yes, the Q115AF carries both SWD and HACR ratings. This means it is approved for switching 120VAC fluorescent lighting loads on a regular basis and can be used on circuits supplying heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
What type of arc fault protection does the Q115AF provide?
The Q115AF provides Branch/Feeder Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) protection. It is designed to detect unintended parallel arcing conditions to help prevent electrical fires, in addition to providing standard thermal magnetic overload and short circuit protection.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
