6 answersWhat type of load center is required for the Siemens Q220GFN?
The Q220GFN is designed exclusively for Siemens Plug-On Neutral load centers. It will not fit or function correctly in standard pigtail style panels that lack a plug-on neutral bar.
What is the difference between the Siemens Q220GF and the Q220GFN?
The Q220GF features a traditional pigtail wire that must be manually routed and connected to the panel neutral bar. The Q220GFN is a Plug-On Neutral breaker that connects directly to the neutral bar during installation, eliminating the pigtail and saving gutter space.
What level of ground fault protection does the Q220GFN provide?
This breaker provides Class A ground fault protection. It is designed to trip when a ground fault of 5mA or higher is detected, which is the standard threshold for personnel safety in wet or damp locations.
Does the Q220GFN require a load neutral connection for 240V circuits?
For straight 240V loads that do not use a neutral wire, a load neutral connection is not required on the breaker. However, the breaker must still be seated properly on the panel neutral bar to power its internal GFCI circuitry. For 120/240V multi-wire circuits, the load neutral must be connected directly to the breaker.
Can the Q220GFN be installed on a 3-phase system?
Yes. While it is a 2-pole breaker, it can be installed on the 120/240V AC portion of a 240/120V 3-phase, 4-wire system, or on a 208Y/120V 3-phase, 4-wire system, provided the panel is a compatible Siemens Plug-On Neutral load center.
Does the Q220GFN include an automatic self-test feature?
Yes, it includes a self-test and lockout feature as required by UL 943. The breaker automatically and continuously tests its internal GFCI circuitry. If the device detects that its protection has been compromised, it will trip and lock out to prevent unsafe operation.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
