Siemens phased out the Murray brand and replaced the MP24015 with the Siemens Q21540CT. The Q21540CT offers the exact same 15/40-amp configuration and fits the same load centers.
Which electrical panels are compatible with the MP24015?
This breaker is designed for use in Murray Rock Solid load centers, as well as Siemens EQ, PL, ES, and Ultimate series panels that are rated to accept MP-T or MH-T type plug-in breakers. Always check your panel wiring diagram for approved breaker types.
Does the MP24015 have a rejection clip?
Yes, this is a CTL (Circuit Total Limiting) breaker equipped with a rejection clip. It can only be installed in panel slots specifically designed to accept tandem or quad breakers.
How are the circuits configured on the MP24015 quad breaker?
This quad breaker features two independent 1-pole 15-amp circuits on the outside and one 2-pole 40-amp common-trip circuit on the inside, all fitting into two standard 1-inch panel spaces.
Does the MP24015 feature a common trip mechanism?
Yes, the inner 2-pole 40-amp circuit features an internal common trip. If one leg of the 240V circuit overloads, both legs will trip simultaneously to ensure safety. The outer 15-amp circuits operate independently.
