The FI36015 is an I-Line mounted breaker designed specifically for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It plugs directly into the I-Line bus stack and cannot be used in standard unit-mount or load center applications.
What does the current-limiting feature of the FI36015 provide?
As a current-limiting breaker, it clears short circuits extremely fast to reduce peak let-through current and energy. This minimizes thermal and mechanical stress on downstream equipment during a fault, supported by its high 200kA interrupting rating at 480VAC.
What is the modern replacement for the legacy FI36015 breaker?
The FI36015 is a legacy F-Frame molded case circuit breaker. For new installations or upgrades, Square D has replaced the F-Frame series with the PowerPact H-Frame series. However, the FI36015 remains a direct drop-in replacement for maintaining existing I-Line infrastructure.
How are conductors terminated on the FI36015?
The breaker is equipped with mechanical lugs on the load side that accept 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire. The line side connects directly to the I-Line bus, requiring no line-side wiring.
Can the FI36015 be utilized in DC power distribution?
Yes, the thermal-magnetic trip mechanism allows this breaker to be used in DC applications, offering a 10kA interrupting rating at 250VDC.
Can the trip curve on the FI36015 be adjusted in the field?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
