The QHB315 bolt-on breaker is designed for use in Square D NQ panelboards. Note that QHB and QOB-VH breakers were introduced after the legacy NQOB series and are not UL listed or approved for use in older NQOB interiors.
How does the QHB315 differ from a standard QOB315?
The QHB315 features a high interrupting rating of 65kAIC at 120/240VAC, designed for commercial and industrial systems with high available fault currents. A standard QOB315 is rated at 10kAIC, and a QOB315VH is rated at 22kAIC. All three share the same physical dimensions and bolt-on mounting.
What is the recommended terminal torque for the QHB315?
The pressure plate terminals should be tightened to 40.7 lb-in (4.6 N-m). The terminals accept 14 AWG to 8 AWG copper or aluminum conductors.
Does this breaker include a visual trip indicator?
Yes, it features the Square D Visi-Trip indicator. When the breaker trips due to an overcurrent or short circuit, the handle snaps to a center position and a highly visible red flag appears in the indicator window.
Is this breaker HACR rated for HVAC equipment?
Yes, the QHB315 is HACR rated. Its thermal-magnetic trip mechanism is approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment requiring an inverse time circuit breaker.
Can the QHB315 be used to replace a QOB315 or QOB315VH?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
