This Equipment Protection Device (EPD) trips at a 30mA ground fault threshold to protect machinery and equipment. A standard Class A GFCI trips at 4 to 6mA to protect personnel from electric shock.
Can I install this bolt-on breaker in a standard Square D QO residential load center?
No. QOB breakers feature a bolt-on mounting design intended for commercial NQ and NQOD panelboards. Standard QO load centers require plug-on breakers.
What types of applications require an EPD breaker like the QOB120VHEPD?
EPD breakers are typically installed for heat trace cables, snow melting equipment, and industrial machinery where a standard 5mA GFCI might experience nuisance tripping but equipment level ground fault protection is still necessary.
How do I wire the pigtail neutral on this ground fault breaker?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
