Built for commercial distribution, the Square D A1B320 provides 20 amps of 3-pole overcurrent protection. It features a long body design and utilizes proven thermal-magnetic trip technology to protect circuits against overloads and short circuits. This miniature breaker mounts securely into Square D NA1B panelboards using a robust bolt-on connection. It accommodates 14-8 AWG wire via load side lugs. This breaker is designed specifically for installation in legacy Square D NA1B panelboards. It is used to maintain or expand older commercial and industrial distribution systems.
Can I install the A1B320 in a standard Square D QO or NQ load center?
No, the A1B320 features a specific form factor and bolt-on mounting design that is exclusively compatible with legacy NA1B panelboards. It will not fit in modern QO, NQ, or I-Line panels.
Is the Square D A1B320 still in active production?
The A1B series is an obsolete product line originally manufactured for older NA1B panelboards. Replacements are sourced to maintain existing legacy electrical infrastructure without requiring a full panel upgrade.
Does installing this breaker require a separate mounting hardware kit?
If the panelboard does not already have the necessary bus connectors in place, installing a 3-pole A1B frame breaker into an NA1B panelboard requires a specific bus connection hardware kit, such as the OEM SK5666.
Does the A1B320 include a visual trip indicator?
Yes, this breaker features Square D Visi-Trip technology. When the breaker trips due to an overload or short circuit, a highly visible indicator appears to help quickly identify the faulted circuit in the panelboard.
Can the A1B320 be used on 480V systems?
No, this breaker is rated for a maximum of 240V AC. It cannot be safely installed in 480V or 277V applications. For 277V legacy systems, the equivalent Square D Y1B series was typically used.

Expedited Shipments

Although these breakers are refurbished they work great. It beats having to change the whole panel because of one breaker.
