The "B" indicates that this 1-pole breaker is factory configured for a Phase B connection. When installed in an I-Line panelboard, the plug-on jaw will only engage with the B phase of the busbar.
What is the modern replacement for the legacy FHB series?
The FHB is a legacy F-frame circuit breaker. For new installations or panel upgrades, Square D has superseded this line with the PowerPact B-frame series, such as the BGA models, which also utilize the I-Line mounting standard.
Will the FHB16020B fit in a standard Square D NQ or NF panelboard?
No. This breaker features an I-Line style plug-in connection designed exclusively for I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It is not compatible with NQ, NF, QO, or Homeline panels.
How does the I-Line connection work on this breaker?
The line side of the breaker features a plug-on jaw that snaps directly onto the I-Line busbar, eliminating the need for line-side wiring. The load side uses a standard mechanical lug to terminate the outgoing conductor.
Can this 1-pole breaker be used on a 480V system?
Yes, the FHB16020B is designed for use on 480Y/277V solidly grounded wye systems. It is rated for 277VAC to ground and delivers a 25kA interrupting capacity.
Does this breaker offer ground fault or arc fault protection?
No. This is a standard thermal-magnetic breaker equipped with fixed long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions for overload and short-circuit protection. It does not provide GFCI or AFCI capabilities.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
